FULL PROJECT INFORMATION
The contract EPC is a proven model for modernizing mostly public buildings by ESCOs with guaranteed energy and cost savings. Nevertheless, a broad roll-out of EPC is being prevented mainly because of two unresolved issues: the split incentive dilemma and the lack of adequately flexible contract models. This project intends to solve these two main barriers.
GuarantEE will develop innovative business models and financing for projects based on ESCO model, meaning for that based on EPC implementation.
In rented facilities the objective is to develop and test solutions in order to share costs and benefits between user, building owner and the ESCo. (triple winner focus).
GuarantEE also seeks the development of flexible EPC contracts, basically targeted to private building owners.
These innovative energy service models will be tested in pilot projects, where building owners will have support from expertise EPC facilitators.
